Bradford County Tornadoes

By HEAD COACH STEVE HOARD

The Bradford High School football team has finished it’s first weeks of spring practice. The young men have been a great bunch to work with. The coaching staff has been extremely pleased with the attitude and work ethic of the young Tornadoes. Leadership has been provided by several players. The only senior returning starters Casey Hines, Terrence Slocum and John Tyson have been the most vocal and also lead by example in every thing they do. These three players will be relied upon greatly in the year to come. Hines and Tyson started last year at TE and OT but will now start on the defensive line. Slocum is the only returning defensive starter in the front eight. The secondary returns both starters at corner backs in sophomores Tramaine Harris and Adrian Mosley. Mosley will start at one of the lb’er spots in the fall.

On the offensive side of the ball the only returning starter is qb Rodney Mosley. Rodney will also provide depth as a backup running back. The offense will be very young and the physical maturation of the the starters will be not what most teams in our area line up with. We are going to attend two summer camps to help speed up the process. Our first two teams on offense will attend a Wing –T camp at West Georgia College and later in the summer our entire varsity team will attend a full contact FCA Team Camp at Stetson. The two camps, summer 7 on 7 and our summer program will help our players and new varsity staff get ready for a tough early part of the season. BHS will once again rekindle the rivalry with Union County in a classic and begin the season with three straight play off teams in Fort White, Baker County and Fernandina Beach.

The future is now and our goal is to build our program one brick at a time. The program will be prioritized in this order,

God-Family-School-Football. With out priority number one our program will never meet the needs of our young men. I am blessed to coach so many great young men.
