Starke Bike Fest June 13-15

Headline performers Jimmie Van Zant and Blackfoot will rock the crowds expected at this year’s third annual Starke Bike Festival, which begins Friday, June 13, at the Bradford County Fairgrounds. The three day event is presented by the North Florida Regional Chamber of Commerce.

This year's festival begins on June 13 with contests and door prizes from 10:00 a.m. noon. The Rat's Hole shows and a poker run are slated for Noon-4:00 p.m. The bands Diamond Back, Midnight Run and Cellfish will play beginning at 4:00 p.m. Van Zant will perform at 10:00 p.m.

The Rat's Hole bar will have a stage as well. The band 3DM will play at 8:00 p.m. and Core at 11:00 p.m. after a simulcast of Jimmie Van Zant’s performance.

June 14 -

  • Free pancake breakfast from 8:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m.
  • Shows featuring Billy Vickery and Local Traffic are scheduled.
  • Darkest tan and tattoo contests take place at 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.
  • The Faith Riders will sign riders up for a toy run at 3:30 p.m., while the James Blooze Band (aka Outside Over) will perform at 4:00 p.m: 3DM will perform at 6:00 p.m., followed by Local Traffic at 8:00 p.m.
  • Blackfoot is on the main stage at 10:00 p.m. with a simulcast in the bar.
  • Diamond Back closes out the night with an 11:00 p.m. show on the bar stage.

June 15 -

  • Free pancake breakfast from 8:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m.
  • A religious service will be at 9:30 a.m., followed by a blessing of bikes at 11:30 a.m.
  • The Rat's Hole shows are from noon until 4 p.m., while the band Adrenalin Axis performs at noon. Local Traffic performs at 2 p.m.

Admission to the event is $10 per day or $25 for the entire three days. On-site RV parking will be available ($60 in advance) as well as free bike parking, free tent camping and free showers.

Contests and door prizes will be a part of this year's event as well, as will three types of bike shows sponsored by the Rat's Hole Custom Bike Shows Inc. Old-school bobbers will be presented on June 13, while the World Famous Rat's Hole Custom Chopper Show will take place on June 14. A Metric Madness show is scheduled for June 15.

The Rat's Hole will also operate a bar area on June 13-14. The bar opens at 10 a.m. each of those days.
