Business Partner Recognized

MACCLENNY, FL - Food Lion was named the 2008 Business Partner by the Baker County School District. Matthew Barfield, local Food Lion Manager, and Bonnie Jones, Assistant

Principal at the Pre-K/Kindergarten Center, attended the Twenty-first Annual Commissioner's Business Recognition Awards in the Spring at The Hyatt Regency, Jacksonville.

Food Lion has sponsored parties by providing food, paper supplies, and prizes for students. they have donated breakfast food for staff in-service days, popsicles and ice cream for students' good behavior, drinks and food for Fall Festivals and other items throughout the year. They have also sponsored the annual volunteer recognition banquet, as well as provided food for bus drivers' appreciation week.

Food Lion places a high emphasis on education and is always willing to help in any way they can. The Baker County School District salutes Food Lion for its contributions to education in our community.
