MACCLENNY, FL - On Monday evening, a 15-year-old softball player was injured while participating in a senior division game at the Minger Field Complex on Macclenny. A member of the Baker County Senior Softball League Rebellettes team, the player collided with another team member while attempting to make a play on a batted ball.
The collision knocked the player briefly unconscious. Concerned about possible spinal injury and the players’ level of pain, coaches summoned the local emergency medical squad.
