Small County Coalition of the Florida Democratic Party will meet in June

NASSAU COUNTY, FL - The Small County Coalition (SCC) of the Florida Democratic Party announced plans for their annual Small County Coalition Convention, will be held June 20 - 22 on Amelia Island, in Florida.

The coalition, made up of by several hundred representatives of those counties that have Democratic voting populations of 35,000 or less, holds a convention each year to bring together Coalition Members with, Democratic Elected Officials, and registered voters the issues and values most important to Florida's small counties are addressed and discussed.

Florida is comprised of 67 counties, including several small counties that are rural and agricultural in nature. Their constituencies are represented by hundreds of elected officials, and all Democratic representatives are invited to attend the convention.

Several elected officials and Party Activists from all over Florida will attend. Florida CFO Alex Sink, State Senator Dave Aronberg (Palm Beach), Lakeland City Commissioner Justin Troller (Polk), Campaign Strategist Dave Beattie, and many more will be addressing the coalition over the weekend.

"Small counties make up a significant portion of Florida's votes in every election. Our population numbers are low individually, but our combined totals can make the difference in a state or national election, such as the Presidency," Doug Courtney, President, Small County Coalition. "We invite all registered Democrats from small, medium, and large counties in the State of Florida to attend the convention."

There will be a dinner on Saturday night and a guest speaker will be announced at a later dated. We are looking forward to seeing everyone there.
