Nassau County residents speak up about future vision

Nassau County residents speak up about future vision

Nassau County citizens are getting the opportunity to share their vision for the county. Nassau County Vision 2032 public input meeting are being held throughout the county giving everyone the chance to speak up and be counted.

Meetings were held this past week in Bryceville and Callahan. Most of those who spoke expressed they wanted to keep their community’s rural atmosphere, but with a few more urban-type amenities such as more parks, schools and better roads. Also many participants noted the need for more stores and restaurants in the area.

The comments collected during these public input meetings will be used to form Nassau's vision plan for 2032. The Nassau County Vision 2032 Plan Steering Committee will hold three more public input meetings on May 12 at Yulee Middle School, May 13 at First Baptist Church of Boulogne, and May 20 at Fernandina Beach High School.
