Alligator hunting permits go on sale June 3
     The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) will begin selling approximately 4,500 alligator harvest permits on a first-come, first-served basis at 10 a.m. (EDT) June 3 and will continue through 11:59 p.m. (EDT) June 9.

Photographing Northern Florida
     I have been keenly interested and involved in photography since high school. I think this is for a number of reasons: photography allows us to explore the world around us, no matter the exact composition of that world, it is-compared to the other visual arts-very fast, and it involves a fair amount of technology but lots of plain-old craftsmanship.

Okefenokee Eastside outdoor activities, paddling and boating update
     Winter and Spring we received good rain and the swamp water levels are near normal but it could turn dry again in the future, although things are really looking up from a paddlers and a boaters perspective.
