Chop Shop Arrests Tied to Motorcycle Stunt Group

Chop Shop Arrests Tied to Motorcycle Stunt Group
Curtis Gill

Three Green Cove Springs men are charged with Grand Theft Auto and are in the Clay County Jail held on $50,000 bonds. The three men are Curtis Gill, 27, Ross Jackson, 25, and Dustin Richards, 24.

The three are members of a motorcycle stunt group called "Stunt 904" and are suspects in an extensive "chop shop" style theft ring where as many as twenty motorcycles in Clay and Duval counties were stolen and used for parts (on their own stunt cycles) or parts were sold on EBay for profit.

Detectives from the CCSO's General Investigations, Street Crimes and Narcotics Units worked together on  Tuesday and Wednesday to secure  the arrests of these  three men. A search warrant was served at the Lake Asbury area home   where the three live and many stolen items were recovered there. Additional cases remain under investigation.
