Blind Bowler Rolls Perfect Game Blind Bowler Rolls Perfect GameBy BRANDON FINLEY Bowling a perfect game isn't east. For most of us breaking a 100 during a game of bowling is quite a feat. However, for seventy eight year old Dale Davis of Alta, Iowa there's even added pressure to bowl a good score. That's because Davis is legally blind. Even still, Davis became a local celebrity an internet fodder as he was able to score a perfect game. The legally blind Davis may not be the most likely candidate to bowl a perfect game, but following twelve strikes in a row on Saturday night, he now feels like a professional. Davis said of the feet, "It's a great sport. It's something the young, the old, and the handicapped can do. I guess I count as the old and handicapped." He plays it off perfectly, but the feat is making news all the way down to Florida. It was the first perfect round for any bowler at the alley since it changed to new ownership in 1984. You could see how this would be a miraculous occurrence, but seeing how Davis is blind it becomes that much more spectacular. Davis usually bowls around a 180, and that's a great score for a bowler of any level. He claims that the only time he can see any of the ball is when he picks it up. After that, Davis accounts for what happens by the sound of the ball. I guess it sounded pretty good on this day.
