Natalie Gulbis... Missing in action

Introducing Anna Rawson

Natalie Gulbis... Missing in action

By DAVID THEUS

After checking in on this week’s LPGA progress, our Natalie Gulbis was no where to be found. We are still not sure what happened to her. Our best estimate is she decided not to enter after last weeks dismal finish in 60th place. She wasn’t on the cut list, nor the dropped out list, so until further notice, she‘s just missing in action.

Anna Rawson

After leaving the Corning Classic Saturday thinking we might have a new young golfer to follow and one maybe earning her first victory too in Ms. Erica Blasberg. Wow! Could the wheels have fallen further off on Sunday. I guess the pressure of starting Sunday somewhere near the leader was too much for our new friend. After they finally found her spare, she had finished tied for 37th with a whole host of other losers.

For the record, another University of Arizona graduate slipped under the radar to win her first tour victory and her name is Leta Lindley, Leta shot 277 for the tournament and 5 under par for the Sunday victory earning her a nice $225,000 for the week in Corning, NY.

Now for a change of pace. A new golf hotty has caught our attention. Finishing in 15th place this week, and taking home a cool $19,440 for the week is our new best friend and lady golfer, Anna Rawson. Sorry Natalie, but Australian native and 2004 USC graduate Anna is HOT!

Rawson is struggling to extablish herself in the LPGA.
Anna is a rookie this year finishing her first tournament out of five this past week at Corning tied for 15th. Each of her past four outings resulting in cut. I think this young lady is in dire need of our attention as she struggles to establish herself on the LPGA. Having said that, I think it only fair that we dedicate a portion of our coverage to her budding and soon to be successful career too.

Here are few photos of Anna so that it might be easier to recognize her next time you tune into LPGA coverage live or on TV.
