Foy resigns from Republican Party Executive Committee

JACKSONVILLE, FL - Donald Foy, Vice Chairman of the Duval County Republican Party Executive Committee, has resigned from his position as of May 23, 2008.

Foy, a leader in the party for quite a while, noted in his resignation letter, he had not made a final decision about whether he will change his party affiliation. However, in a news conference Tuesday morning, Foy announced he is switching political parties to Independant and dropping out of the race for District 14 State Representative.
