Small business workshops offered

Small business workshops will be held at the Beaches. A four-part workshop series will be presented by SCORE and the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce.

Programs to be offered include:

Small Business Basics: 4:30-7:30 p.m., June 12

Marketing Strategies: 4:30-7:30 p.m., June 26

Financial Forecasting: 4:30-7:30 p.m., July 10

Complete Your Business Plan: 4:30-7:30 p.m., July 24

Classes will be held at Baptist Medical Center Beaches, 1350 13th Ave. S., Jacksonville Beach, conference room B. The cost will be $150 for the four-part series or $45 per workshop.

Attendees have the opportunity to learn the steps to starting and maintaining a successful business, and by the fourth session, complete a formal business plan.

The workshop series is presented by Counselors to America's Small Business (SCORE), a non-profit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and the formation, growth and success of small businesses nationwide. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
