Baker Bunch Family Fun Day

Baker Bunch Family Fun Day

Baker Bunch Family Fun Day

BAKER COUNTY, FL - By no fault of their own, children are removed and separated from the only homes they’ve known every day. Due to divorce, abuse, abandonment, neglect, or even domestic violence many children sometimes go weeks or even months without visiting their families.

In an effort to bring awareness for a much needed facility that will allow the children of Baker County caught up in the court system to reconnect with their families; the Baker Bunch, Inc. of Baker County held this fundraiser over the weekend at the old Boy Scout camp off Steel Bridge Road.

Through the Family Connection of Northeast Florida, the Baker Bunch, Inc., is a nonprofit organization formed in 2006 to serve the more than 200 children currently caught in dependency and family court in Baker County. The desire of Baker Bunch, Inc. is to provide a visitation center, to offer these children safety, hope and stability during uncertain times.

In the end, a proper visitation center will provide supportive environment for developing healthier child-parent relationships. If you would like to donate or lend a helping hand to these families and children in Baker county, call 904-259-8953 or send your tax deductible donations to: Family Connection of Northeast Florida, P.O. Box 1645, Glen St. Mary, FL 32040.

"In the majority of cases, a child remains separated from his or her parents for 12 months or longer. Your help is desperately needed in developing this much needed facility," said Laurie White, president and director of Family Connection of Northeast Florida.
