World Series Champion Mark Bellhorn joins the Suns
JACKSONVILLE, FL - The 2004 World Series Champion Mark Bellhorn was promoted to Jacksonville from extended spring on May 15, 2008. Bellhorn has played in parts of 10 Major League seasons posting a career batting average of .230 with 69 homeruns and 246 RBI. Overall, he has appeared in 17 postseason games including time with the Yankees in 2005 and the Padres in 2006.
Bellhorn was drafted in the 37th Round of the 1992 Free Agent Draft, but did not sign, opting instead to attend Auburn University where he played in the 1994 College World Series. His last full AA Season was in 1996 with the Huntsville Stars. He is expected to primarily play first base during his stay with the Suns.
