Union County will soon have a new industrial park
     A 1,000 acre parcel of land located just east of Lake Butler on S.R. 100 has been chosen as the location of the proposed park and last week the board approved a comprehensive plan amendment to change the classification of the property from agriculture to industrial.

Specialty Crop grant funds partnership between Florida Agriculture Department and Nursery Association
     Florida Agriculture and Consumer Services Commissioner Charles H. Bronson announced the establishment of a partnership program with the Florida Nursery, Growers and Landscape Association (FNGLA). The program was made possible by a USDA specialty crop block grant and will be conducted over a two-year period.
