Bradford County enacts burn ban Bradford County enacts burn banBradford County joined the list of North Florida counties who have implemented a burn ban effective June 5. "Bradford County is vulnerable to the threat of wildfires due to the drought and extreme dry conditions which exist," the county's Department of Emergency Management reported in a statement. "Open fire burning poses an extreme hazard and threat to public safety." Other counties under burn bans included Alachua, Baker, Flagler, Hendry, Marion, Putnam, Sumter, St. Lucie, and Volusia, according to the Florida Division of Forestry. Marion County has a voluntary ban. |
