Arson suspect caught in Orange Park
In the early morning hours of June 4, Clay County deputies responding to a burglary call in Orange Park apprehended a 19-year-old Jacksonville man running from the scene. Officers
found significant damage and gasoline in the building.
Clay County Deputy A. McCrea was first on the scene in the 300 block of Blanding Boulevard in Orange Park and saw Aaron Marcus Richardson running away and carrying a gas can. Deputies McCrea and C. Faircloth collared Richardson after a foot chase. Deputy Faircloth suffered a broken foot during the arrest.
Richardson is charged with burglary, attempted arson and resisting an officer without violence.
