Baldwin teacher gets email death threat Baldwin teacher gets email death threatUsually at the end of school teachers may get a gift or at least a heartfelt goodbye from students, but one teacher at Baldwin Middle/Senior High School got the unexpected. An e-mail threat to her and her family was intercepted by an Internet provider triggering a police investigation. SchoolNotes.com contacted the school’s resource officer after the threatening email was flagged on their web site that serves teachers and students. According to authorities, included in the message as a threat that "If you tell, I will kill you and your family…" The name and IP address of the sender led police to one of the teacher’s students. The student denied having anything to do with the email message, and told authorities that someone was trying to frame her. The State Attorney's Office will decide whether to press charges when the investigation is completed. Sending a threatening e-mail is a second-degree felony. |
