New stores at St. Johns Town Center

More new Stores are coming to the St. Johns Town Center this year. Kate Spade is opening a designer handbag boutique later this summer. Cole Haan, known for having high end shoes, bags, and leather coats, will also be available for area shoppers. J. Alexanders, an upscale restaurant is also coming later this fall.

Democrats plan coalition convention

The Small County Coalition of the Florida Democratic Party announces plans for the annual Small County Coalition Convention, June 20-22 on Amelia Island.

Several elected officials and party activists from all over Florida will attend. There will be a dinner on Saturday night and a guest speaker will be announced at a later date.

Carpools/Vanpools available

 

First Coast Commuter Services invites you to try carpooling to work as a way to save on gas costs and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Carpools are comprised of 2-4 people who take turns driving their own cars. Vanpools are comprised of 7-15 people who ride to and from work in an employer or employee-sponsored van.

Pool participants who register with First Coast Metropolitan Planning Organization are eligible for the "Emergency Ride Home" program, in which you get a free taxi ride in the event of an emergency.
