Changes for Customers

JACKSONVILLE, FL - The Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles wants to advise the public of upcoming changes to your local driver license office.

In the Jacksonville area, the driver license office located at 14333 Beach Boulevard, Suite #20, will close on Friday, June 27, 2008. The next closest office for customers is located at 3428 Beach Boulevard in Jacksonville. Employees at this Jacksonville office will be transferred to other driver license offices to continue offering customer service.

"The Department wants to encourage customers to skip the trip and get their driver license business done online at www.flhsmv.gov where various online services are available. Here, customers can renew their driver licenses, identifications cards, vehicle tags and change their address," the Division of Driver Licenses Director Sandra Lambert. "If a customer has received notification from the Department that they will have to come into an office, they can make an appointment at http://oasis.hsmv.state.fl.us. Making an appointment can be a time saving tool for customers."
