Supreme Court bombs out
Without a doubt, five members of the Supreme Court of the United States have complete and utter contempt for the citizens of this country. Five justices. Count them: Five. Stevens, Souter, Ginsburg, Bryer, and Kennedy all decided that the supposed rights of enemy terrorists trump the President’s mandate to protect the very citizens the terrorists wish to destroy.

UF's budget cuts beyond mere dollar signs
There has been much talk recently in Gainesville about the University of Florida's budget cuts and how they will affect the university, students, the city, and the surrounding area. Really, any budget cuts with some of UF's operating divisions such as its Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS) will have statewide ramifications as IFAS, while based out of the UF campus in Gainesville, has satellite research and education labs statewide and also contributes greatly to agricultural-oriented education efforts from the K-12 to college level across the state.

McCain: Four More Years of Mumbling?
The last thing America needs is another four years of listening to a president mumble. I don't care how great the man is otherwise, and a quick look at the amazing progress in present day Iraq accomplished by the president reveals a greatness that offends liberals, but if he's a mumbler that's what he'll be seen as.

The End End
Finally? Yes, finally. Not a trick? No trick. Over? Yes. Over. It is once again safe for the faint-of-heart to come out from under the covers. The Quiet American
The passing of Tim Russert this past Friday is mourned by so many because of the quality of the man and in part because of the way he could get his job done so effectively without ranting in an arena where so many have failed. He was able to comment on the American political landscape without resorting to mimicking anyone else or attacking personal character, which happens so often these days that most people have come to accept it as appropriate behavior.

The Seven Deadly Offset Credits
The Vatican just announced a brand new, modern set of seven deadly sins to supplant the old seven sins which have grown pretty tired through the years. The old seven deadly sins: lust, wrath, gluttony, sloth, greed, pride, and envy were proclaimed by a sixth century pope and were made famous by Dante in his "Divine Comedy" and by Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman in the movie "Seven," which was a pretty darn scary movie.

Winning the War on Fat Kids
"What a relief. After two decades of growth, childhood obesity rates have finally leveled off!" Ah, yes, you speak of a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA). Based on data gathered from 1999 to 2006 by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, it would appear obesity rates for kids and teens have plateaued."

An Interview with Andrew Ferguson
After writing three major cover stories about Barack Obama's books, his speeches and his tony Chicago neighborhood, Andrew Ferguson of the Weekly Standard probably knows as much about Sen. Obama as any conservative writer and reporter can know at this point.
