Axe Maidens chosen

Axe Maidens chosen

After weeks of preparation, dance workshops and a 4 hour dance routine and judging event, 12 ladies have now been chosen to be the first formal Cheerleading team in the AMNRL. The Axe Maidens are named and Title sponsored by the Axemen merchandise agent, Vivid Images USA,

who specialize in screen print and embroidery, as well as other promotional items.

Axemen Co-Owner Spinner Howland and the 2 Aussie Imports, Shaun Murray and Brent Shorten were invited along to help with the judging process. All three where very impressed and amazed at the professionalism of the entire group. "Most of these ladies have years of professional dance experience. Jazz, tap, ballet and formal dancing experience seemed to be a the norm with all the entrants" said Spinner. "Some of them teach dance full time, other have been members of various NFL and Major College Cheers teams. This is pretty overwhelming to be honest. It is as professional as we are as a team and from what I hear they will train just as hard."

The Axe Maidens are under the direction of former NFL Cheerleaders Darlene Clancy and Donna Windsor and will be professionally managed and coached by the two former Jacksonville Jaguar Roar members.
