Oil, Offshore Drilling, and Greed
     Recently, there has been a lot of talk at the state level about whether oil drilling off of Florida's coast should be considered as a mechanism to counter rising oil prices. The state's chief financial officer, Alex Sink, held a press conference to take issue with Governor Charlie Crist's turnabout in his position against offshore oil production-Crist stood against such efforts before but now appears to have had a change of heart-as Sink wished for the state and the nation to understand that not all state officials or citizens advocated the same measures as the governor.

Tear Down That Wall
     I'm in Europe to join the Reagan Legacy Foundation in observing the 21st anniversary of my dad Ronald Reagan's immortal words spoken at the Berlin Wall on June 12, 1987, when he demanded that Russia's Mikhail Gorbachev demolish the wall, a grim symbol of Soviet oppression of the East German people.

     There are a lot of TV shows these days devoted to helping us get rid of the general clutter in our lives. It has been pointed out that American attics and closets are packed with stuff we haven't looked at in years. There are even rooms in our houses that could be used for guests or a home office that are teeming with clothes that no longer fit or appliances missing a needed part.
