Public input wanted on the Ocklawaha Prairie Public Small Game Hunting Area

Public input wanted on the Ocklawaha Prairie Public Small Game Hunting Area

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is holding a public workshop concerning the Ocklawaha Prairie Public Small Game Hunting Area and changes made to permitting regulations during the 2007-2008 hunting season. Anyone interested in this hunting area is encouraged to attend and provide input on July 1 from 6 to 8 p.m., at the FWC's Northeast Region Office, 1239 SW 10th St., Ocala.

Specifically, the FWC wants public input on the hunting permit process for the area. The FWC strives to allocate fair hunting opportunities, and public input is important to achieving this goal.

Anyone requiring special accommodations to participate in this workshop should advise the agency at least five calendar days before the meeting by contacting the ADA coordinator at 850-488-6411. If you are hearing- or speech-impaired, please contact the agency by calling the Florida Relay Service at 800-955-8771 (TDD) or 800-955-8770 (voice). For further information, contact Jen Williams at 352-732-1225 or e-mail Jen.Williams@MyFWC.com.
