Camden Summer Theatre

Camden Summer Theatre presents Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" at the Camden County High School Auditorium.

The classic musical fairy tale highlights the importance of inner beauty. The show will be performed June 26-28 at 7:30 p.m. and June 29 at 2:30 p.m. Whether young or old, a fan of the film, or just looking to escape the summer heat, everyone is sure to enjoy this "tale as old as time." Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for students and $5 for children and senior citizens. For tickets or information call the box office at (912) 729-7463.

Rummage sale

Fernandina Little Theatre is sponsoring a Community Rummage Sale on June 28, 8 a.m.- noon, at the theater, 1014 Beech St. Booth spaces are available to local residents for $10. To sign up, contact Jean at fltplay@peo plepc.com or 321-1595.

Theater group

NASSAU COUNTY, FL - The newly formed daytime theater group for adults will meet at 2 p.m. on June 25 at Amelia Community Theatre, 209 Cedar St. The program will include a workshop on improvisation and the reading of a one-act play written by a local playwright. New members are invited to attend. There is no charge. For more information, contact the theater at 261-6749.

Limelight Theatre offers space rental

ST AUGUSTINE, FL - The Limelight Theatre is happy to offer space rental in the Joukowsky Family Foundation Center for the Performing Arts. In March of 2008, the Limelight completed expansive renovations to its building at 11 Old Mission Avenue. In addition to the all-new Studio Theatre and the Grand Lobby, the existing building received new carpet, new restrooms, a new kitchen (fully equipped for catering parties), and new walls throughout. Options include the use of The Matuza Main Stage, The Koger-Gamache Studio Theatre, The Cranberry Room, the Box Office Lobby, The Bartosch Grand Lobby and equipment rental. All rental fees are for non-profit only. If you have an event, performance or parties in your future please call ahead for schedules and rates at the Box Office: 904-825-1164.

The Limelight Theatre is located at 11 Old Mission Ave., uptown St. Augustine in the Joukowsky Family Foundation Center for the Performing Arts. Box Office hours are Tuesday-Saturday 10:00am–4:00pm. (904) 825-1164.

The 1940's Radio Hour Auditions

Auditions will be held on Friday, July 11 at 7:00 PM, and Saturday, July 12 at 1:00 PM at Orange Park Community Theatre in the rehearsal hall. Please go into the rehearsal hall through the door at the end of the building.

The script calls for 10 men and 5 women of all ages. Candidates should prepare an up-tempo song and should bring the sheet music in your key. An accompanist will be provided. Please don't bring recorded background music. Auditioners will "cold read" from the script. The Orange Park Community Theatre is located at 2900 Moody Ave in Orange Park, between Bolton and Filmore Streets.

Performances will be September 5 - 27, 2008.

A mystery comedy written by Michael Parker (who wrote the Sensuous Senator and the Amorous Ambassador)

March 2009 - Sing On!
A comedy written by the Rick Abbot (who wrote the comedy Play On that was recently presented on the OPCT stage)

June 2009 - The Producers
