Purple Hatter’s Ball – A celebration of the life of Rachel Morningstar Hoffman
     On July 12, Purple Hat Productions will present the first annual Purple Hatter’s Ball, a celebration of the life of Rachel Morningstar Hoffman, at the Ponderosa Wildlife Preserve at 620 Sadberry Rd. Quincy. Gates open at 10 a.m. and the more than 20 groups will begin playing at noon.

     Wounded Warrior Project announces the kickoff of its "Operation Outreach" summer initiative. For the duration of the initiative, taking place from July 2 through August 16, teams of recently wounded warriors will head to towns across America to meet with their peers; this new generation of injured veterans who have returned to their communities and civilian lives.
