Padron 4000 Series… Nice!

By DAVID THEUS

On a recent visit to Central Florida I had the opportunity to stop in and see Don over at his shop called Cigar’z on the Ave. Next time you are in Winter Park, just on the south end of the Avenue (Park Avenue) be sure and stop in and see Don Patel the owner and purveyor of fine cigars and accessories.

Don at Cigar’z on the Ave
When I told Don about my weekly cigar review and how I had been making my way through the various brands and recent size selection of toros, I asked if he could make a suggestion of a fine smoke and still keep me in the $5 to $7 range for my readers. He directed me right to the Padron section and handed me a beautiful cigar Padron calls their 4000 series from their "series" collection for $6.99.

This particular cigar, although a natural wrapper is full of spice from the minute it touches your lips. The Padron Series 4000 natural is a 54 x 6 ½ in size and beautiful specimen the moment it is in your hand. The Padron 4000 Natural Cigar is a  full-bodied smoke with robust flavors and a sweet finish. This brand is a Nicaraguan puro, with long-fillers, binder and wrapper leaves all originating in the town of Esteli.

From the moment you light it, you can smell the aroma consisting of cedar, spice, and an almost

sweet finish. The ash was perfect and the draw, sensational. The experience gave me a sense that I had just walked into the finest tobacconist and I could feel and smell this soft and sensual aroma wafting around me like a mild breeze. A little more on the medium side to bold for those of you whom have been tasting natural mild wrappers, but well worth the risk.

Be sure to put Cigar’z on the Ave. on your list the next time you are in or near Winter Park. They are located at: 333 Park Avenue South, Winter Park, Florida His phone is: 407-647-2427 and be sure to tell him David sent you from North Florida News Daily. Enjoy!
