Alhambra is always a great night out

JACKSONVILLE, FL - In today's world, there are few events a family can partake in that will be both beneficial and enticing for the entire family. The Alhambra Dinner Theatre allows the family to come together to enjoy each others company and a well cooked meal while watching a musical production so close you feel as though you may be grabbed up on stage at any moment to participate.

When going to the Alhambra Dinner Theatre, you will be welcomed by hostesses eager to escort you to your seat. They will walk you to your table and shortly after your server will be over to inquire about drinks and salad. Soon after being seated, the hostesses return to tell you the buffet is open and you are now allowed to enjoy the delicious concoctions the chef as made for the evening. There are typically some vegetables, bread, and chef's choice of carved meat. As you go back to your table, there is a delectable dessert table set up just in the middle of the room for those who have a sweet tooth.

Then, after dinner, the announcer will close the buffet and the lights will dim. The most recent production at the Alhambra Dinner Theatre was "The Sound of Music". As the tale is told of the young girl who is sent to be a governess of seven children, the music and entertainment is so real that it feels as though you, yourself, are in the show.

As always, the production is flawless and a most enjoyable way to spend an evening with your family. You are ensured a well cooked meal, all the family time you could want, and it is just a short drive for this good time. Even for those who do not desire the theatre as entertainment, allow yourself to try a fun-filled evening at the Alhambra.

"The Sound of Music" is at the Alhambra Dinner Theatre, 12000 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, through July 27 with performances Tuesday through Sunday evenings and matinees on Saturday and Sunday. Dinner/show tickets range from $42 to $49 plus tax and children 12 and under are $30 plus tax.
