Xbox Fall Hits
By DAVID WORTHINGTON

Xbox Fall Hits

No more wodden throne for Odin.
Let’s continue along the road towards holiday gaming. This week we look at the big hits coming to the Xbox 360, my own console. I try not to dote to much on one console over another but, I have to admit that the 360 exclusive lineup looks pretty impressive.

To start off with appearing August 19th is Too Human. Too Human is from Silicon Knights and  takes Norse mythology to the future and pits the gods against each other. The game features a co-op system that allows four players battle against

Stunning visuals, check.
Loki and his machine army together. The game has appeared in all aspects to be a single player action title however, looks can be deceiving. The game features an impressive loot system as well as some role playing elements giving you the opportunity to choose from one of five different character classes. The game is said to be the first of a scheduled trilogy. That being said, we’ll see if the game lives up to the myths it portrays this August.

All that platforming goodness now on your Xbox 360.
Rare is bringing the Banjo-Kazooie franchise to the Xbox 360 this holiday season. Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts takes place eight years after the events which happened on the Nintendo 64 title Banjo-Tooie. The duo has not only come out of retirement but have also brought some other memorable characters along with them such as Mumbo Jumbo and Klungo. The game has a ton of customization, giving you a nearly endless array of components to use to design vehicles from Mumbo’s garage. Don’t think that you won’t be playing online, as Nuts and Bolts allows you to share your contraptions online as well as race against your friends. The game looks to be a must have for any platformer fan.

I just wanted to know where the buffet is!
Square Enix is pumping out another sure to be epic RPG. No, it’s not a remade Final Fantasy VII, but Infinite Undiscovery. The game is sure to be packed with a widespread array of plot twists and turns come to be expected from Square Enix. Infinite Undiscovery will feature a new battle system. There are situation battles and real-time battles which you’ll move between the situations and the battles seamlessly. Meaning that you will see an enemy, fight the enemy, and still continue to move across the land. RPG fans will probably want this one when it hits shelves September 1st.

Huge mechanical giants, alright!
A unique game coming out this year is Zoids Assault. This game allows you to take control of a fleet of biomechanical life forms that feature both aspects from beasts and machines. Tactical gameplay is a key to winning here. Do you charge in guns blazing or do you scan the area to find some type of terrain advantage? With upgrades, including melee weapons, rockets, rifles, machine guns, shotguns, cannons, and more is out to bring endless amount of customization to the player September 9th.

While were talking about unique games I have to mention Left 4 Dead. Brought to you by Electronic Arts, Left 4 Dead throws you, as well as three of your friends into a modern day survival horror universe. You and your friends will have to escape from hordes of zombies as well as fight against a few bosses along the way. The survival co-op game mode plays out across four sprawling campaigns set in urban and rural environments. The A.I. makes the game unique. The way you play determines how the A.I. will play out, this makes every time you play different. Besides co-op, online versus mode pits survivors against mutant bosses with special abilities. Look for it to hit the shelves November 4th.

Your friends better help you up.

Now bend down just a little closer.

I love a good real time strategy game as well as the next man so I’m pretty excited about Warhammer: Battle March coming to the Xbox 360. This tactical strategy game will include both the original Warhammer: Mark of Chaos, released in late 2006 for the PC, and the upcoming expansion from which it draws its name. Battle March will take the same approach as Mark of Chaos and ditch the resource system. No longer will you have to build bases, train units, or gather resources. Victory is determined by how you place your units. Ranged units such as archers of course belong in the back where as swordsman are in the front ready for the charge. Battle March takes the original three factions has been upped to five with the Orcs and Goblins fighting together and the Dark Elves. The games campaign has also been enhanced with the addition of a third scenario to accommodate these new armies.

We got your epic battles right here.

This guy looks pretty impressive.

Well that’s it for our look at the big titles coming out for the 360... oh, wait what do you mean there’s more. Oh, did I forget to mention Fable II and Gears of War 2?

Fable II is developed by Lionhead Studios and is the sequel to the Xbox original Fable. Fable II offers you more choices and builds on the core gameplay theme of the original where your every decision continually defines who you become. The game allows you to live the life you choose in the expanded world of Albion. Set 500 years after the original, Fable II delivers an epic story as well as innovative real-time gameplay. Choices, customization, exploration, co-op, the list goes on and on. If you have a 360 this is one game you can’t miss.

Take that Hobbes down!

As if they weren't bad enough...

While we’re talking about games you can’t miss, let’s talk Gears of War 2. Coming out this November, Gears 2 continues the story of humanities struggle to survive against the Locust Horde. Set six months after the first game, it throws you right back into the battle as Marcus Fenix, the reluctant war hero, as he leads Delta Squad on a series of perilous and adrenaline pumping missions. With new enemies as well as new allies you continue to battle for mankind’s survival as you take the fight to the Locust.

New story and characters!

"Hey, your shoe's untied."

There that should really be all for the Xbox 360 this holiday season. Next week will be the Multi platform releases and if you thought that the system exclusives were something, you’ve got another thing coming.
