Jaguars wide receiver Jerry Porter underwent surgery on Thursday for repair of a hamstring tendon that was not healing. The surgery was successful and he is expected to be out approximately six to eight weeks and the team is hopeful that he will return for the regular season opener on Sept. 7. More ... The Jacksonville Jaguars signed rookie linebacker Thomas Williams to a contract today. Williams was the 155th overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft and one of the Jaguars' two fifth-round selections.
