Gainesville Community Playhouse offers "A Secret Garden"

Gainesville Community Playhouse offers "A Secret Garden"

Life looks dreary for orphaned, 11-year-old, Mary, who has traveled from her home in India to Yorkshire to live at the country estate of her embittered, reclusive uncle and his invalid son. To her delight, Mary discovers that the estate includes a mysterious, locked garden. As Mary works to restore the overgrown, dying garden she also begins to restore the lives of her uncle, cousin and the rest of the estate. "Some of the most beautiful music ever written for Broadway" The Secret Garden is a treasure for children and adults. "A splendid, intelligent musical.... It's all you can hope for in children's theater. But the best surprise is that this show is the most adult new musical of the season."-- U.S.A. Today.

GCP performs all of its shows at the spectacular Vam York Theater, located at 4039 NW 16th Blvd, next to the Millhopper Publix. The box office phone number is: (352) 376-4949.
