Truck carrying caustic load overturns in Baldwin

BALDWIN, FL - An overturned semi at the intersection at US 301 and US 90 in Baldwin  caused traffic problems for travelers on both roadways Wednesday.

HAZMAT crews with Jacksonville Fire and Rescue were called to the scene about 2:45 p.m. after learning the semi was carrying Sodium Hydroxide. There have been no leaks.

The accident closed 301 and limited traffic on 90 most of the afternoon and evening while crews worked to clean up the accident.
