Stephen Combs and Justin Case Band to perform

SPIRIT OF THE SUWANNEE MUSIC PARK, LIVE OAK, FL - If you’ve already made plans for this weekend and they don’t include a trip to the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park, cancel them! Country music will abound this weekend, August 1-2 at the SOSMP with North Florida’s own country singer Stephen Combs on Friday night, a HUGE garage sale Saturday and Live Oak country band Justin Case Saturday night.

It’s going to be a clapping, dancing, yard-sale shopping good time!

Stephen Combs will perform Friday night.
One of the SOSMP patrons’ favorites, Stephen Combs, will kick off the weekend Friday, August 1, with his brand of country. He’s set his goal to be the next rising country star and is sure to sing one from his latest release, "I’ll Just Show You." Writing stirring songs related to love, heartbreaks and simple life excitement, Stephen's southern gospel up-bringing provides him with all of the ammunition he needs to bring sweet harmonies into his unique style of country ballads and rock-a-billy music.

Saturday morning, bright and early, what could be the biggest yard sale you’ve ever seen will get underway at the SOSMP. This semi-annual event draws folks from near and far to sell their unwanted "stuff," making the loot you can find at the sale pretty awesome. Admission to the yard sale is $2 per person or $5 per carload. Check out the garage sale item on our calendar for more details and be there bright and early at 8 a.m to get the best bargains.

After you’ve rested up from all that shopping, head over to the SOSMP Music Hall Saturday night, August 2, and enjoy , great country band, Justin Case. These guys will really set your feet

Justin Case
to tapping and get you out on the dance floor. Band member Ronnie Baldwin formed the original band in 1987, playing at Tom’s Seacruise as the house band for five years. Baldwin now plays drums, while guitarist Tom Bright, lead singer Frank Freihofer, bass guitarist Bill Sheddon and singer, songwriter, guitarist Monty Savitz make up this awesome band. Playing great country top 40 and original music for the past five years together, they will release a new 12-song CD in August.

Events at the Music Hall get under way at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday evening. Friday night admission is free while Saturday night admission is $10

The SOS Café and Restaurant will be open with dinner and beverages available at regular prices from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m., including during the shows.
