Where's Natalie Gulbis?

Natalie's Back!

By DAVID THEUS

Finally! Our girl answers the call and finishes tied for 17th with the likes of Annika Sorenstam and Giulia Sergas, each taking home a cool $44,297 in prize money. Not bad for spending the week in the French country side sucking down all of that over priced Evian bottled water at the Evian Masters, which our Natalie has already won before.

This week's winner was a sweet lady from Sweden, Helen Alfredsson. This week's take of $487,500 moves Helen up to seventh place with a nice $950,812 for the year on the overall money winners list. As for the rest of the top five finishers in this week's tournament play, it's starting read like I'm ordering some of my favorite take out. I'll have a #2).Choi, a #3).Park, a #4).Hong, and lastly a #5). Ochoa with no noodles to round off the top five.

I don't know what's happened with ladies golf here in the U.S.! There is a serious depletion of quality, competitive players that consistently place in the top five. I know I'm going to catch some flack for my perceived bigot comments, but it's true. Where has competitive golf gone in our High School and University system today? What is it our girls are doing instead of playing golf? It's time to turn off the O/C and the Gossip Girls and get out onto the links and start cleaning up.
