     Over the next several weeks I have decided to chronicle my experiences with my testing, diagnosis, and ultimate treatment of this particular sleep disorder. The Sleep Study
     I arrived at the Shands Sleep Disorder Center in Jacksonville just about 7:30 pm - parked, entered the building, and proceeded to the fourth floor to the reception station where I was pleasantly greeted and directed to a waiting room prior to my check in. Within a moment or so I was introduced to my sleep technician named Nikki and she proceeded to conduct the check in process.

The Night After
     Well, just what I thought would happen, did happen. I came home to my bed and my own surroundings and turned in around 10:30 pm when it started all over again. I was restless and found it difficult to get comfortable. Keep in mind - this time there would be no wires or mask on my face.

Waiting for the doctor
     I’ve been sick all week with an upper respiratory sinus crud. I think there is something that happens when a low pressure system comes in and sits over our area of north Florida, my head decides to try and shrink and my nose is like an open faucet. Sorry if that was too much information, but it’s true.
