"Having worked with Duke over the years, he has shown himself to be a proven executive leader with an outstanding track record in strategy development, business transformation and operational excellence." Prior to this announcement, Mr. Livermore served as executive vice president, business operations for BCBSF. Mr. Livermore joined BCBSF in January 2000 with the responsibility to direct capability development. In April of that year, he assumed the role of enterprise chief information officer for all business sectors of BCBSF, including accountability for all information technology strategies, architectures and governance. In 2003, Mr. Livermore was given leadership responsibility for the Health Business Service Organization, in addition to his information technology duties. In 2006, he was named executive vice president, business operations, overseeing marketing, sales, delivery systems, information technology, and service. Prior to joining BCBSF, Mr. Livermore was senior vice president of information strategies with Barnett Bank/Bank of America Corp. He has over 20 years of senior management experience in strategic roles. His employment experience includes nine years each in the finance and telecommunications industries and eight years in the health care industry. Mr. Livermore holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Information Systems from George Mason University, Fairfax, Virginia.
