The Avenues announces new restaurant opening

JACKSONVILLE (Aug. 11, 2008) - The Avenues will add to Jacksonville's burgeoning restaurant scene this year with the opening of a dynamic new dining destination, PORCÃO-RIO'S Churrascaria. The upscale Brazilian steakhouse will open near the main entrance next to Ruby Tuesday.

PORCÃO-RIO'S Churrascaria is a full service Brazilian Steakhouse featuring a parade of delectable cuts of beef, pork, lamb, chicken and fish, slowly cooked on special grills to preserve natural juices and flavors, and brought to the table on skewers. The dining experience also includes unlimited visits to a fabulous buffet, which features a wide variety of salads, cheeses, vegetables, hot dishes and even sushi.

Because Porcão-Rio's Churrascaria is the ultimate Brazilian rodizio, the waiters continuously rotate with food, never ceasing to offer their skewered cuts of meat, poultry and fish until diners turn the colorful, circular card by their plate to its red side. Servers will also bring to the table hearty sides of rice, black beans, fried yuca, breaded bananas, fried potatoes and farofa served family-style. The entire meal is included in Porcão-Rio's one fixed price.

Guests can complete their meals with a tantalizing array of desserts. PORCÃO-RIO'S has a full bar and wine list that offers wonderful South American, Californian and Australian labels among its reserve.
