Music is hot at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music is hot at the Spirit of the SuwanneeAugust is a busy month at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park and campground in Live Oak, Florida where music is always playing and there‘s always some outdoor activity awaiting you. Weekend entertainment coming up this month will be: *Kids’ Music Camp Aug. 15 - 17 Kids’ Music Camp is held four times each year to instill in youngsters a love for fiddle, banjo, guitar, mandolin music and singing. A Sunday performance shows what the group has learned, and it’s always amazing how much the kids enjoy showing off what they‘ve learned in a weekend.
Country star Eddy Raven, of "I’ve Got Mexico," and many #1 country other hits, will pack the house Aug. 16. This much-loved country music singer, songwriter has been hypnotizing audiences for years with his brand of music. Admission is $20 per person. Come early as the house will be full tonight. Roadhouselive, a country, blues and Southern Rock inspired band, hails from Branford, Florida where they love their music. This hot band has wowed the audience at the Suwannee River Jam on the First Street Music Stage and plays many dates in North Florida. Admission is $20 per person. Come early as the house will be full tonight. Labor Day Getaway, three days of getaway time for you and the family with all the amenities the SOSMP has to offer! Relax, kick back and enjoy Karaoke with Teddy Mac in the cool Music Hall over the Labor Day weekend. Teddy Mac will sing a while on Friday night, then let you show off what you’ve got, but bring your own backup music. Karaoke night is always a hoot. Admission is free Friday night. A Tribute to Legends will pack the house as performers, including Ted McMullen as Elvis, pay tribute to Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Conway Twitty, Travis Tritt, Hank Williams Sr., Elvis and
The Mike Miller Band has been around long enough to develop a huge following of music fans who show up at all this events where this country band shucks it on down. Friday night is free, admission $20 per person Saturday night. As always, the SOS Café and Restaurant at the SOSMP is open during Friday and Saturday night and Monday and Thursday performances in the Music Hall with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. Delicious meals and beverages may be ordered at regular prices during these events. Seating is first come, first serve so it’s always wise to arrive early. Admission is charged on Saturday nights with generally no admission on Friday nights.
