Early voting started Monday for the August 26 primary election according to the Florida Department of Elections. The last day for early voting will be August 23. Deadline to request an absentee ballot is August 20.
Florida has closed primaries, which means that to vote in a party's primary election, you must be registered with that party. Those voters can only vote in primaries with their party affiliation. All voters, regardless of party, can vote in nonpartisan races (school board and judicial races).
Make sure to bring proper identification when to go to cast your ballot. .
