Three arrested for felony battery
     Three Baker County young people are under arrest for felony battery that sent their 18-year-old victim to the hospital. Melinda Sue Davis, 20, Lacie Lynn Alford, 14, both of Sanderson, and Michael Seth Hodges, 18 of Glen St. Mary were arrested August 14 after luring an acquaintance to a rural location and attacking her.

     Verizon Wireless customers across Florida can now help protect the Sunshine State's natural resources by dialing #DEP from their wireless phones when they witness environmental crimes. The calls will be automatically directed to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and law enforcement personnel for immediate response and/or further investigation.

Two arrested in home invasion robbery
     Two men are in custody after a home invasion robbery in Lake Butler. Mathis Demar Jackson, 21, of Lake Butler, and Derrick Frazier, 21, of Sanderson were arrested Thursday, August 14 and charged with home invasion robbery and aggravated battery.
