Nassau votes out three-term commissioner
Three-term County Commissioner Marianne Marshall was soundly defected by Walter Boatwright who garnered 79 percent of the vote. Boatright will face Democrat Ramiro Palma in the November election.

With a turnout of 28.08 percent, Nassau County GOP voters chose Sheriff Tommy Seagraves to meet Democrat Jim Coe in November. Seagraves defeated three opponents with 4,856 votes or 57 percent. Connie Johnson received 3,141 or 36 %; Richard King 554 votes and 6%; and Carlos Slay 63 votes and 1%.
Tammy Stiles took the lead in the property appraiser race by 36 votes in the tightest race of the election with a total of 2,983 votes over nearest challenger Larry Williams’ 2,947. The third candidate Michael Franklin had 2,437. Stiles and Williams will probably have a recount to determine who will meet Democrat Ray Harper in November.
