Whitehead returned to office

Union County voters overwhelmingly returned Sheriff Jerry Whitehead to office with a whopping 88 percent of the vote. First elected in 1984 Sheriff Whitehead breezed in the lead with 3,113 votes. His opponent Ronny Pinkston received 440 votes.

Incumbent Debbie Osborne will return to office with 84 percent and 2,960 votes. Challenger Duane Archer received 16 percent and 567 votes.
