Nassau County hardest hit by flooding

Creeks and rivers remain swollen after days of rainfall and almost every community in the north Florida area has been affected, Nassau County residents were the hardest hit by flooding.

Residents of Nassau County and the Callahan-Thomas Creek area were slammed by more than

five feet of water pouring into their homes. Homeowners say it’s the worst they have ever seen.

Approximately 30 homes between the Duval/Nassau County line and Ratliff Road are still flooded. In Bryceville, flooding is from Brandy Branch Road west to the state line, including Horseshoe Circle. Approximately 15 home in Boulogne east of US 1 near Hampton Lake and the St. Marys River are still threatened.

Officials say it may take another couple of days for the water to recede.
