Baker County Wildcat Boosters come strong
     It’s Friday night, the first game of the season (Jamboree against West Nassau) and the Baker County Wildcat’s Football Booster Club is ready to meet the challenge. President Fred Munson says: "Our mission is to give the boys anything they need. Whether it be special equipment, team camps over the summer, or even first class transportation to and from all away games."

Baker tops West Nassau in Kickoff Classic
     The Baker County Wildcats overcame two tumultuous weeks of bizarre conditions and heartache by showing their grit and determination during their annual Kickoff Classic, Friday night at Memorial Field in Macclenny. The Cats are dealing with a life altering practice injury to one of their varsity players, as well as overcoming a flu like virus that swept through the team and caused an early end to preseason training camp.

     West Nassau High School has a new head football coach. With more than 27 years experience as a head coach, George A. Nelson is no newcomer to West Nassau High. He'd been here for three years then went to Yulee for two years and is now back at West Nassau again.
