Trinity Christian senior Maegan Anderson and her friend Brandon Fields made the drive to Baker County to support West Nassau and specifically Quarterback Robbie Hearn. Hearn was out tonight struggling with Meningitis during the summer and early off season. But according to Maegan she said: " This team (Warriors) has potential to do real good this year."
As for her own school Trinity Christian, Anderson said: "TC will win State!" Maegan maintains a weighted 4.4 GPA and wants to be a physical therapist and go to the University of Florida because the Gators are awesome!
A family affair
Candy Spearrin and her daughter Colleen Spearrin are West Nassau Cheerleaders through and through. Candy, a mother of three children, two older sons and her last - daughter Colleen a sophomore Varsity Cheerleader for the Warriors. Turns out Colleen has pretty big footsteps to follow in.
Her oldest brother graduated valedictorian from West Nassau and went on to attend Harvard University and graduate with a degree in Engineering. Colleen’s second oldest brother is also a graduate from West Nassau and currently a student at the University of Florida studying Computer Science. Colleen would like to attend Florida as well, but she is not sure what she would like to study just yet.
Former Wildcat checks out preseason play
Former Wildcat player Carlos Holton and friend Norris Coleman were on hand for the Wildcats season opener Jamboree against West Nassau Warriors. When asked how Colton thought about this year’s squad, he said: "They need some work on the O-Line, they are nice in size, but lack game experience." Asked about Darvin Ruise’s performance at his past position of quarterback, Holton said: "He’s (Ruise) got to make the whole and quit worrying about getting hit."
Warrior Pride starts young
Five-year-old Heather Carver shows her Warrior Pride. Heather’s big sister is Sophomore Varsity West Nassau Cheerleader Haley Carver.
