Baker, Bradford, Union eligible for disaster relief

TALLAHASSEE, FL - Storm victims in five Florida counties are eligible to receive individual federal assistance under a new declaration by President George Bush.

Brevard, Volusia, Okeechobee, St. Lucie and Hendry county residents will receive aid through the Federal Emergency Management Agency for such things as home repairs and living expenses.

FEMA also announced eight more Florida counties: Hendry, Baker, Bradford, Collier, Gadsden, Glades, Hardee and Union were eligible to be reimbursed for response costs, debris removal and rebuilding of public facilities and infrastructure.

As FEMA damage assessment teams continue to identify damage from Tropical Storm Fay more counties are expected to be added to the aid list.
