Jacksonville Jaguar player Richard Collier was shot early Tuesday morning in an apparent random shooting and is now hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
Police say Collier, 26, and former Jaguar Kenneth Pettway were waiting in their car outside a Riverside area apartment around 2:45 a.m. on two women they had met at a club when an unknown assailant walked up and fired several shots into the Cadillac Escalade striking Collier who was in the driver’s seat. Pettway was not hit.
Authorities do not have a suspect or motive at this time.
