Blood drive for Director Reynolds

West Nassau High School is having a special "designated" blood drive on Friday September 5 from 8 am - 2 pm to gain blood for Don Reynolds, band director, who needs a liver transplant. You can contact Cindy Barney (904) 879-3746 at West Nassau High for additional information.


Fourth Annual Jacksonville's Puerto Rican Parade & Festival

This parade and festival is considered the biggest hispanic event in Jacksonville. It will be held on September 13 from 12:00pm - 2:00am. It is a family-oriented, cultural and educational event. It showcases the very best of the Puerto Rican culture, arts and crafts, Puerto Rican painters, exhibits and a colorful and cheerful parade. The Jacksonville Landing will be sizzling with the sounds of Latin music, marching bands, beauty queens in foot-high tiara and dancers, all moving to a thumping salsa beat!


Amelia Island Film Festival inaugural

Fernandina Beach's Newest Festival opens with an exciting array of over 25 Screenings of 45 Independent, Classic and Foreign Films. The Amelia Island Film Festival takes place September 25-28 at four venues: The Fernandina Woman's Club, The Peck Center, Florida House Inn and The Palace Saloon.
