One foot from the goal line
     Hilliard played a scrimmage game against the Fernandina Beach Pirates Friday evening. The game started at 7:30 pm with isolated thunderstorms forecasted. There had been some drizzles and some sheet lightning in the distance but the teams came on the field and play began.

Wildcats rout Tigers in season opener
     The Baker County Wildcats controlled every aspect of their game Thursday night, with a dominating shutout of the visiting Union County Tigers, in their first game of the 2008 regular season. From the opening possession when the Baker Boys drove 80 yards for the first touchdown of the game, the Wildcats let loose a fierce power running offense that the Tigers were unable to stop.

     Camden County lived up to it’s reputation as a football powerhouse taking the Columbia County Tigers 31-0 in the second game of the double header "Border Wars" Thursday night.

Player Spotlight - Baker County's B.J. Rowe
     This week’s Player Spotlight focuses on #4 B.J. Rowe, senior Defensive End for the Baker County Wildcats. I had a chance to sit down with B.J. during this week’s pre game ritual of quiet time. That’s time set aside so the players can concentrate and prepare for the task at hand. This week that task was the Union County Tigers.
