Christopher's Restaurant is a chain of breakfast and lunch casual dining restaurants with 17 Atlanta restaurants and one each in Nashville, TN, Savannah, GA and Tampa, FL. The 12-year-old company said it will begin franchising by targeting the Atlanta suburbs and markets throughout the Southeast. Specifically, the owners have their sights set on franchisees in Nashville, Charlotte, Jacksonville, Birmingham and Charleston. The company is on track to open twelve new restaurants this year and already has another 10 in the pipeline in 2009. Trigild Appointed to Dissolve 60 Bennigan's and Steak & Ale RestaurantsSan Diego-based Trigild, a company specializing in distressed real estate, was recently appointed to secure and close 37 Bennigan's and Steak & Ale restaurants in TX, NM, GA, IN, FL, MI, CO, MN, OH and PA. The closings follow Metromedia Restaurant Group's recent Chapter 7 bankruptcy filing of the two casual dining chains. Trigild is tasked with obtaining closure permits; notifying leasers and vendors; removing and liquidating all inventory, fixtures, furniture and equipment; and then securing and maintaining the restaurants until final disposition. In a separate action, Trigild was appointed receiver for 23 Steak & Ale locations. As receiver, Trigild has authority to sell these restaurants -- a mix of fee simple and leasehold properties -- with the court's approval.
